Let’s Talk Climate is an educational adaption of The Game Of Life (©Hasbro) which revolves around an individual’s impact on climate change and which of our daily actions have positive or negative consequences on our climate.
The goal of this game is not to be the wealthiest, but to have the most positive climate balance of all players, to secure a liveable future for upcoming generations.
While cruising the game path, you are being confronted with either positive or negative actions you did, which affect your position on the climate balance bar at the bottom of the field. Additionally there are event cards, which can shake things up quite a bit.
The aim of this project is for players to gain a consciousness for an action’s consequences on the planet and reconsider some of their own choices. Through the gamified approach of educating about this, Let’s Talk Climate attempts to reach a larger audience and to establish a more positive climate communication.
The game plan is designed as a poster, so that it can be displayed as a source of information, if the game is not played. In addition to the game plan, there is also custom cardboard meeple figures and a complete set of rules that were created.
